Wheel of Rotary

Volume LXVIII, Number 002

PROGRAM this Wednesday, July 13th will be brought to us by Charis Acree and will feature Glenn and/or April Gantner to talk about their experiences in the Peace Corps.

PROGRAM last week was actually held not on Wednesday but on Monday, July 4th where we again provided the majority of the marshals for the young people in the Sweet Land of Liberty Fourth of July Parade. We saw tons of us there and all had a great time. The parade commencement point returned to Boyd Park this year after the renovations that added the South's finest outdoor event center, Sweetland Amphitheatre. Boyd Park was named to honor our own late Jim and Annette Boyd and since they founded the parade, the amphitheatre is also, indirectly, named for them too since it derived its name from the parade they founded. For these reasons, this year's parade was a sentimental and significantly meaningful even.

Of course, when we do not meet the bulletin is quite short. It gives everyone a break, including the overworked staff here at the Wheel.
