Guest Speaker Dr. Anne Matthews
A Reflection

Dr. Anne L. Matthews is an educator by profession, a published author, an education accreditation commissioner, and public speaker. She has served in several management roles with the SC State Department of Education. Anne has spoken in all 50 states and 72 countries on educational issues and/or the Rotary Foundation.

A member of the Rotary Club of Columbia East, Anne served as Governor of D7770 in 1999-2000. She has served in numerous capacities in Rotary. To list a few: RIVP (’13-’14); RI Director; TRF Trustee; Zones 33/34 Institute Chair; Vice Chair of the Polio Eradication Advocacy Task Force for the US; and Chair of the Rotary Peace Centers Committee.

Currently, Anne chairs TRF’s Basic Education and Literacy Major Gifts Initiative, serves on the TRF Major Gifts Leadership Committee, chairs the Polio Eradication Advocacy Task Force for the United States and is a member of the International Polio Plus Committee (IPPC)

Anne is a major donor, Paul Harris Society member, Paul Harris Fellow, a charter member of TRF’s Bequest Society, a Benefactor, and the founder of District 7770’s Paul Harris Society. In addition, she has provided financial support for the renovation of the Paul Harris home in Evanston.


Jacob's Ladder
Volunteers Needed

Jacobs Ladder is seeking volunteers for a variety of learning environments throughout their 15-acre campus here in Roswell. Opportunities are flexible, and you are able to volunteer between 7:30am-5:30pm on Monday-Friday.  A background check is provided for each volunteer. There is also an extensive range of in-depth training tools.
