This Week's Speaker
Greg Bluestein, Atlanta Journal Constitution

Join us this Friday at the AC Hotel to welcome Greg Bluestein, a political reporter and author who covers the governor's office and Georgia politics for The Atlanta Journal-Constitution. Greg writes for the front-page of the AJC, contributes to the Political Insider blog and morning Jolt newsletter, co-hosts the Politically Georgia podcast and is a frequent guest on local and national TV and radio programs. He's an MSNBC and NBC News contributor and the author of "Flipped," a book on Georgia's epic 2020 election.

Greg is a proud graduate of the University of Georgia with degrees in journalism and political science, and Axios named him the "most dedicated" Bulldog fan at the 2023 national championship game. He lives with his wife and two daughters in Dunwoody. Order his book at: http://bit.ly/FlippedTheBook

Golf Tournament Update
FORE! the Memories Tournament Fast Approaching - May 13, 2024

With just 12 days to go until our third annual FORE! the Memories golf tournament, here are a few last minute requests:

  • Please send Rick Woods the golfer information this week.
  • Please send Carter your sponsorship check this week or you can pay at the tournament via Square or check.

The tournament details are now listed on the landing page of the tournament website - rcdgolftournament.com - providing the details golfers want to know about event day.

Of course, you can always make a donation while you're there. And check in with Allison Norris if you'd like to volunteer.

Thanks for all your support!

Service Opportunity
Help Share Rotary at the Dunwoody Arts Festival

Congratulations!  Thank you Dunwoody Rotarians and friends! With a week to go, we could still use a few more helpers, especially in our booth. Join this Dunwoody tradition of 14 years - as a Dunwoody Rotary ambassador in our Rotary Club Exhibit booth.  The booth is open from 10 AM to 4 PM next Saturday and Sunday - May 11 and 12 - contact Kathy Brandt or Matthew Johnson and let them know what time you might be able to help. It's a great chance to greet the public and tell the RCD story.

Thank You for Your Service
Dunwoody Honors Our Troops at USO

Rotary Club of Dunwoody volunteers served our military personnel traveling through the USO at Hartsfield Airport. *Seven volunteer members served All American lunch & more. Hot dogs with all the condiments, potato chips, home baked cookies, fresh fruit, bottles of water and something new, a portion of Baked Ziti & Momma’s meatballs. Volunteers included Jennifer Shumway, Rick Woods, Fred Brandt, President Jack Sparks, Rick Otness, Ron Barden and Charlie Augello.
The special delicious cookies, 25 pounds, were home baked by the ** members & friends of Rotary Club of Dunwoody. The cookies were placed in plastic bags with a label that read “Dear Soldier, Thank you for your service. Enjoy this small token of appreciation made especially for you with love & prayers. Rotary Club of Dunwoody” Thanks to our bakers: Anita Augello, Kathy Brandt, Les Woulfin, Louise Barden, Dottie Ransom and friends of Rotary - Judy Bowman and Sissy Luciani.
Also participating in the success of the lunch were the donations from Boar’s Head, Northside Deli Provisions & the E.48th Street Market. All of the food and associated items donated amounted to $1676.
