President Nancy's Message

Roswell Rotary Delivers Lunches to EMTs at Station 24

This past Thursday, members of Roswell Rotary had the privilege of delivering 21 lunches to the hardworking EMTs at Station 24. A special thanks goes out to Juan, who expertly prepared the lunches in under 24 hours, and to Gene Beckham, Jack Wyche, and Elwyn who took time to deliver the meals.

Station 24 is an essential part of our community, and they were the first to respond to Officer Labonte on Friday night. We are grateful for their quick response and unwavering dedication to keeping us safe.

This small gesture of appreciation is just one way we can say “thank you” to the men and women who are always ready to serve. Roswell Rotary stands with our first responders and appreciates their service to our community.

Upcoming Rotary Meeting: Dan Corso, President of Atlanta Sports Council

We are excited to announce that our next meeting will feature Dan Corso, President of the Atlanta Sports Council and a fellow Rotarian from the Atlanta club. Dan has been instrumental in bringing major sporting events to our city, including the Super Bowl, the College Football Playoff National Championship, and the upcoming FIFA World Cup.

Dan will share insights on how the Sports Council continues to make Atlanta a premier destination for global sporting events and how these events impact our local economy and community. His extensive experience and leadership in the world of sports will provide us with a unique perspective on the business and civic partnerships that drive success.

Please join us for what promises to be an engaging and informative meeting. This is a fantastic opportunity to hear from a true leader in the sports industry who is dedicated to making a difference both on and off the field.

Dan Corso -Atlanta Sports Council to Speak

Welcome Dan Corso, a fellow Rotarian from Atlanta Rotary, to our club. Dan has been instrumental in attracting major sports events to Atlanta. In 2024,  FIFA announced that Atlanta would host eight matches during the 2026 FIFA World Cup—including a semifinal. The international soccer competition is expected to generate approximately $415 million in revenue for metro Atlanta. Amazing opportunity for this city!

The ASC promoted metro Atlanta as the site for U.S. Soccer’s National Training Center. In April, U.S. Soccer broke ground on the center, located in Fayette County; it is expected to open in 2026. And there is so much more.

We look forward to hearing much more from Dan about his role in bringing these events to Atlanta. Let's pack the house Thursday!

Rotary Leadership Institute

As Rotarians, you are all leaders, some in your community, some in your profession, and some in life in general..

Why Participate?

At RLI, our purpose is to give you the necessary tools and skills to be better Rotarians. As with every endeavor, the more you know about anything, the more interesting it becomes. Rotary is most assuredly one of those areas that the more you put into it, the more you get out of it. RLI can make that possible for you.

Investment in Roswell Rotary's Future

Graduates of RLI are more likely to remain in, and be a bigger part of Rotary, than any other demographic.RLI is a great place for newly inducted Rotarians to quickly learn about the “Object of Rotary”. Club Officers can build on their Rotary Knowledge to enhance their club experience. Club Presidents can expand on the skills gained at their President Elect Training Seminar. Long-time Rotarians can re-kindle the old Rotary flame, and at the same time share their experiences with the other participants.Roswell Rotary will reimburse you the $100 (in-person session) or $1 5(online session) for the cost of the course! That is how much your club believes in the benefits of RLI.

Go to https://www.rlisunshine.org/for course information, dates and registration.

Walk with a Doc- Go Betty Price

Betty Price is unstoppable, participating in Saturday’s Walk with a Doc hike at Vickery Mills in spite of a little drizzle.  A great example of ‘movement’ being a part of her plan to be her healthiest for her kids and grandkids.
